Lazy Day of Summer...
Again, we spent the morning/early afternoon at the beach...minus my Mom. It was great especially since it was supposed to rain all week!
We came back to the house and got ready. We were going to Bay Village and my parents were going back to Atlantic City. We walked around a little and got some fudge.
Jim, the kids and I went to The Mason Jar and picked up dinner. It was so yummy!
Jim & Emily headed down to the beach while I got some laundry done. When they came back, we watched a movie until my parents came back. Then, Jim & I headed to bed.

Ticket to Ride...
Today, we all went down to the beach. We were down there for about 3 hours. It was wonderful....and HOT!
Emily had so much fun playing in the ocean and the sand! It was hard to get her back out! Jimmy could care less where we were! He slept most of the time at the beach!
After we got back and showered, we all went to Fantasy Island so Emily could go on some rides! She had a blast! She even went on some rides....ALONE!
She went on a pumpkin ferris wheel alone that she kept calling the Cinderella Ride! She was even happier that she got a pink pumpkin! She went on the choo-choo train with Grandpa (and we have pictures to prove it!). She went on the swings by herself (she does NOT get that from me!). She went on the carousel with Daddy.
She even went on the SCRAMBLER with both Jim & I! She *LOVED* it! I told Jim I remembered why I hadn't been on it in 20 years! Emily wanted to get right back on!
Jim won Emily an adorable Boyd's Bear & Crayola set during a ball toss! She loves her new bear! Then we got some ice cream! We had a wonderful time!
After that we were all exhaused and went home to collapse..jpg)

I Can See Clearly Now the Rain Is Gone!
We stayed down there until around 1:30pm. Then we went up to get ready to go to Atlantic City for dinner. We were going to The Old Homestead in The Borgata. It was wonderful!
Remember last year how Emily was fascinated by the picture of the cow? Well, we were sitting right under it! She was so excited! Jimmy was so good and could have cared less about the cow!
After dinner, we walked around a little bit and Jim gambled a little bit (and won!). Then Jim, the kids & I headed back to the shore house while my parents stayed to gamble a little bit.
When Jim and I got back we watched The Ruins. It wasn't very good. Hopefully, we'll have a great day tomorrow too!

A day at the beach?
We woke up for a glorious day at the beach! We got up a little later than planned and got ready for the beach.
We grabbed suntan lotion, beach towels, Emily's toys, money for beach badges, a book and MP3 Player for me, a sheet for the sand, two chairs and two umbrella's.
We walked down our steps and up our private entrance to the beach. We got the sheet down, umbrellas and chairs set up. We turned, looked at each other and looked up. That's when it started.....
THUNDER!
We quickly got all our stuff packed back up, went back up the path, up the stairs, dropped some things on the deck and ran inside. It started pouring! We figured we would wait it out and be able to go down a little later.
WRONG!!
Everytime the sun would attempt to come out, it would start raining harder!
We just gave up on the idea and watched a couple of movies. We watched The Bucket List and The Da Vinci Code. The Bucket List was a great movie. It is a tear jerker though...especially if you have been touched by someone with cancer. Jim & I had seen The Da Vinci Code before, but my parents hadn't..its still a great movie.
We ate dinner, relaxed and went to bed early for the next day. Hopefully it doesn't rain!

Jimmy's First Tooth!
Jimmy's first tooth officially broke through today!
We can feel the makings of a 2nd tooth below the gum, so I'm sure there will be more following real soon.

Its that time of year again...
VACATION TIME!
Today we packed up the car for our vacation to Long Beach Island!
After sitting in some traffic, we finally got to the island at around 4:00pm. We made our way to the house and met my parents. We had a sandwich, relaxed and unpacked.
Since we were oceanfront, we had a beautiful view. We walked down to the beach for a while.
Now, we were worried about Emily after last year. She refused to sit, step or even look at sand. It was a fight to get her near the beach. This year....she LOVED it! We couldn't get her out of the sand! She even loved the water, which was also a big change from last year!
We stayed down at the water for a little bit and then went up to sit on the balcony of the house. We were there for a while and then just headed into the house to get ready for the next day.

More fireworks!
We got back from visiting Michelle and decided to take Emily to the Denville Fireworks. They always do an amazing job...and this year was no exception.
They "supposedly" started at 9:00pm. So we got to Burger King around 8:30pm. They always have a great viewing spot, but you usually can't get in there. Luckily, we did and we had a front row view!
Well, they didn't go off until 9:30pm...but it was worth the wait! They were spectacular! They were so loud where we were, that they set off car alarms more than 3 times! They did get a little too loud for Jimmy, so I took him and moved where there was a buffer. They ended around 10pm. Both kids were wiped out from our full day and fell asleep on the ride home!

My my, how can I resist you?
Finally!
Today, when Jim gets home from work I'm going to see Mamma Mia! The Movie with my parents!
Now, I've seen it on Broadway...twice. And loved it! I was looking forward to the movie. We got to the theater for a 1:50pm movie...on a Friday. It was packed! We were lucky to get 3 seats together.
Well, how was it? I loved it too! It was such a happy, fun movie...and Meryl CAN sing!
If you do go see it, don't leave right when the credits start. If you've seen the play...you know what's coming!

Its Playtime!
Emily & Laura had SO much fun! They were going through all the tubes and slides, then they just played in the spaceship for about 30 minutes. Jimmy loved hanging out with Grandma & Aunt Michelle!
We all had a wonderful time!

Party at Michele & Shawn's
We were all invited to a BBQ at Michele & Shawn's. My parents met us at 1:15pm and we got ready to head out.
We arrived and were given a tour of the new house. It is beautiful! Michele & Shawn did a wonderful job on it!
In addition to us, there was Shawn's Mom, Shawn's sister and her friend, Michele's parents, Michele's sister Lucia and her family. It was great! I hadn't seen Michele's parents and sister since her 30th birthday party! It was even longer from when my parents saw them.
We had some excellent food and a birthday cake with strawberries and fresh whipped cream for Lucia's son Jack!
Emily had so much fun playing with the boys and Jimmy was loving all the attention! It was a great day!

Fireworks!
Even though I wasn't feeling great, Emily wanted to see fireworks. So we took her to CCM to see their fireworks.
Overall, they put on a pretty good show. They was supposed to go off at 9:45. They didn't go off until 10:00. We got home shortly before 11:00. Emily & Jimmy fell asleep in the car and went right to bed when we got home!

Guess who is crawling!
Yep! Jimmy!
The weekend I was in Florida, Jim told me that Jimmy was taking about 4-5 "steps" on his knees! Of course!
So, when I got home, he began crawling all over the place! He now will crawl across the entire living room. And he's getting fast!
My little guy is growing up!
