A day at the beach?

We woke up for a glorious day at the beach! We got up a little later than planned and got ready for the beach.

We grabbed suntan lotion, beach towels, Emily's toys, money for beach badges, a book and MP3 Player for me, a sheet for the sand, two chairs and two umbrella's.

We walked down our steps and up our private entrance to the beach. We got the sheet down, umbrellas and chairs set up. We turned, looked at each other and looked up. That's when it started.....

THUNDER!

We quickly got all our stuff packed back up, went back up the path, up the stairs, dropped some things on the deck and ran inside. It started pouring! We figured we would wait it out and be able to go down a little later.

WRONG!!

Everytime the sun would attempt to come out, it would start raining harder!

We just gave up on the idea and watched a couple of movies. We watched The Bucket List and The Da Vinci Code. The Bucket List was a great movie. It is a tear jerker though...especially if you have been touched by someone with cancer. Jim & I had seen The Da Vinci Code before, but my parents hadn't..its still a great movie.

We ate dinner, relaxed and went to bed early for the next day. Hopefully it doesn't rain!
