Jodi's Baby Shower!

Today, Michelle, Laura, Jim's Mom & I headed out to Long Island for Jodi's baby shower.

It was a nice day and we all had a wonderful time! The food was wonderful and the sangria was delicious!!!!

Jodi looked beautiful and she got A LOT of great gifts!

One Potato, Two Potato....

Today Jimmy tried sweet potatoes for the first time. He loved them!

It was Emily's first food and she loved them too. Now, we can't get her to touch them though. Its okay because neither Jim or I actually like sweet potatoes!

Maggie's Bridal Shower!

Today Michelle, Laura, Jim's Mom & I all headed to Ridgewood for Maggie's Shower. We all had a wonderful time, the company was terrific and the food was delicious!

When we left, we caught the tail end of the Hurricane Hannah. It poured! Thankfully, it waited until the end of the shower so it didn't spoil Maggie's day!

Enough said!

9 Month Check Up

Well Jimmy went in for his 9 month appointment today.

He now weighs 20lbs. and is 29 inches long.
At Emily's 9 month appointment she was 20.7lbs and 27.5 inches long.

He's right where he should be for growth and learning. The doctor was quite pleased with his progress. He had to get a shot and he did okay with that too. Overall, a great appointment!

Bath Time...

Okay, so I *finally* upgraded Jimmy his own tub.

Anyway, he liked it....at first!

Baba is 90!

Today we had a 90th birthday party for Jim's Grandma! Luckily, it wasn't a surprise party! We all met at The Exchange for a wonderful day! Everyone had a great time and the food was yummy!

Ride Cowgirl Ride....

She did it!

Emily finally learned how to pedal her tricycle! She loves it!

Jimmy tries opameal!

Okay Emily has taken to saying oatmeal as opameal! It really is cute!

Anyway, just like Emily, Jimmy prefers oatmeal to rice too.

Out - Standing!

Jim walked into our bedroom today to see this....

We don't know how long he was standing like this, but he managed to do it for a good 5 minutes...maybe more!

Make that Two Teeth!

Tonight I finally noticed Jimmy's second tooth coming in! He now has the bottom middle two teeth. They look so cute!

Our Last Day...

I had just about as much sun as I could take. So, just Jim & Emily went down to the beach today.

After they came up, we got ready to go out for dinner. We went to The Lobster Claw. It is probably our favorite restaurant on the island.

Once we had stuffed ourselves, Jim & I decided to head down to the Barnegat Lighthouse. We got out to walk off our meal...until I got attacked by a pesky fly! It drew blood and would NOT leave me alone. So, we were only there a short time.

We left and headed to our ornament shop, Under the Mistletoe. We got our vacation ornament and headed back to the house to start packing.

Overall, it was a wonderful vacation. I was sad to see it over!

The Dark Knight...

After spending the morning at the beach again, Jim & I decided to go to a movie. We went to see The Dark Knight. It was amazing! After the movie we stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few items. We grabbed pizza and headed back to the house for the rest of the night.

After dinner, Jim, Emily & I went outside. There were about a hundred ladybugs on the door. I had never seen that many in one place before. Unfortunately, we spent half the night trying to get them back out of the house!

Overall, it was a great day!

Lazy Day of Summer...

Again, we spent the morning/early afternoon at the beach...minus my Mom. It was great especially since it was supposed to rain all week!

We came back to the house and got ready. We were going to Bay Village and my parents were going back to Atlantic City. We walked around a little and got some fudge.

Jim, the kids and I went to The Mason Jar and picked up dinner. It was so yummy!

Jim & Emily headed down to the beach while I got some laundry done. When they came back, we watched a movie until my parents came back. Then, Jim & I headed to bed.

Ticket to Ride...

Today, we all went down to the beach. We were down there for about 3 hours. It was wonderful....and HOT!

Emily had so much fun playing in the ocean and the sand! It was hard to get her back out! Jimmy could care less where we were! He slept most of the time at the beach!

After we got back and showered, we all went to Fantasy Island so Emily could go on some rides! She had a blast! She even went on some rides....ALONE!

She went on a pumpkin ferris wheel alone that she kept calling the Cinderella Ride! She was even happier that she got a pink pumpkin! She went on the choo-choo train with Grandpa (and we have pictures to prove it!). She went on the swings by herself (she does NOT get that from me!). She went on the carousel with Daddy.

She even went on the SCRAMBLER with both Jim & I! She *LOVED* it! I told Jim I remembered why I hadn't been on it in 20 years! Emily wanted to get right back on!

Jim won Emily an adorable Boyd's Bear & Crayola set during a ball toss! She loves her new bear! Then we got some ice cream! We had a wonderful time!

After that we were all exhaused and went home to collapse.
