We got to Michelle's around 11:00am and the girls played for a while. Then, we went to the clubhouse and had a wonderful BBQ meal! They had everything...burgers, hot dogs, Black Angus steaks, spare ribs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad and cole slaw! Yummy!
We then decided to go to the lake so Jim could fish for a little bit and the girls could play in the sand. Yes, I know Emily *HATES* the sand. (See LBI journals in July last year!) Well, once Emily saw Laura in the sand, the shoes came off and the toys came out! She loved it! Hopefully, this will continue when we go to LBI this year!
After the lake, we went back to Michelle's for a snack and some play time. Well, that's when it happened. Emily found the one part of the driveway that did not have a "ramp" into the garage and tipped the little ride-on car over.
Face first.
Into the concrete.
And split her lip.
There were blood and a lot of tears. Jim finally got her fixed up and she went back to playing.
Even with the lip, we all had a wonderful day!
This was her lip on 5-26-08. Ouch!
